The event has been organised by the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association to highlight specialist advice for business owners.

Simon Howard, chief executive of UKSIF, said a rising number of advisers were reporting that more clients had asked for ethical and green options for their portfolios. He added: “More and more IFAs are reporting that their clients are asking for green and ethical investments. We urge all IFAs to get familiar with the issues.”

Mr Howard pointed to research conducted earlier this year by Matrix Solutions that found that 74 per cent of IFA clients were asking for advice on green and ethical investments. It revealed 61 per cent of advisers said they believed that requests for ethical advice were growing.

National ethical investment week runs from 13 October to 19 October.
