Sen. Sherrod Brown Pushes Pension Protections

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, of Ohio, who has been sounding the alarm on a pending pension crisis and was named co-chair of the newly-formed Joint Select Committee on the Solvency of Multiemployer Pension Plans, spoke at a National Press Club in Washington, D.C.  Sen. The Fight for Full Pensions

Last week the IAM participated in a news conference in Washington, D.C. supporting the “Keep Our Pensions Promises Act.” The Act, introduced by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in the Senate and Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) in the House, restores the ban on cutting pension benefits for retired Americans in “deeply troubled” multi-employer pensions.
